From Sky Sports:
Sevilla star Daniel Alves has informed the club he would like to move to Liverpool.
The Reds have been chasing the 23-year-old for some time and they have already seen a couple of bids for him rejected by Sevilla.
Sevilla know they face a fight to keep hold of Alves with the likes of Barcelona and Milan also monitoring his situation.
Alves enjoyed a fine season with Sevilla last term helping them win the Uefa Cup and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has made him one of his top summer transfer targets.
This would be a class signing for us reds, think £12 mil is steep.
Think it would be well worth it tho...
Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has revealed Alves is keen on a move to Liverpool and that they are trying to thrash out a deal for the Brazilian.
"We don't want to sell him but when a player wants to leave you can't force him to stay," said Del Nido.
"He has told us he likes Liverpool's offer though he isn't pressuring us.
"They have come back to us with a new offer but we have rejected it."
Sevilla are believed to be holding out for £12 million for Alves and Liverpool will be hoping they can reach a compromise so that they can bring the versatile performer to Anfield.
