The Big party vibe, playing the best in Acid Breaks and Funky techno, is moving house !!

After a crazy 1ST year putting great partys at the Earl. We thought its time to take it to a later, bigger and louder venue! We are now able to bring the best guest’s we can. So expect some great international and national names coming to rock the Future Funk boat. With residents Si Mclean, Ron Atomizer, LSDJ and Daddy K.

Our mission is to bring you the very best up and coming and established talent from the world of underground techno and breaks from across the world. No compromise, No sell out.

First off, its our pleasure to bring the legend D.A.V.E. the Drummer back to Sheffield. He will be playing his new “HYDRAULIX MIX SESSIONS” album.

This is the latest offering from D.A.V.E. the Drummer. Released in June on his infamous Hydraulix imprint. The c.d. is mixed live on the Ableton software, and will be performed “Live” at Future Funk.
It will feature several brand new tracks aswell as spanning much of D.A.V.E.S history in electronic dance music

D.A.V.E. the Drummer has become a name that is now synonymous with techno all over the world. A long standing member of the infamous London based free party crew “The Stay Up Forever Collective”,run by the Liberator DJ’s, and a regular recording artist on many of the collectives labels, he has proved to be a very important influence on the global techno scene over the last ten years

Djing and playing live using the latest technology , he has taken his unique sound to many different countries, having become almost a resident of Brasil and regularly visiting other coutries such as:
South Africa, Japan, Australia, U.S.A., France, Belgium, Spain, Bosnia, Croatia, Venezuela, Canada , who have all enjoyed D.A.V.E’s exhilarating live shows and seriously funky DJ sets.
He has played every possible size of venue, from small clubs to large outdoor events and has always rocked the crowd with his uncanny sense for the right tune at the right time, and his original DJ technique.

Presently , D.A.V.E. A+R’s and runs his own two record labels, “APEX” and “HYDRAULIX”,
Hydraulix has gone on to achieve much critical acclaim for many of the releases with outstanding attention being received for Hydraulix number 09, a tune that still sounds fresh today and still gets played all over the world.
Apex has had tracks licensed by Carl Cox amongst others and has received strong support from great techno DJ’s such as: Dj Preach , Misjah , and Stanny Franssen

D.A.V.E is continuing to look for fresh ideas and take chances with his labels releases to try to push the sound of techno forward into the future.
