Only 5 million ????????? fuks sake. Missed out big time there.
He must be gettin a stupid wage to be goin to newcastle, no champions league football anytime soon, dodgy manager & a pretty shit team/thin squad. Even spurs would of been a better option then them ;)

What I don't understand is apparantly Chelsea had turned down a £7 million bid from Spurs?
Its a pitty Owen is injured as Newcastle would have quite a strong side there now.

duff obviously wanted a big pay packet its reported he is on £70000 a week a for the barcodes, spurs could not match this and if they did other players like defoe, carrick, lennon etc would be demanded more as they aint on much.......
shame we need a left winger to make our side complete and he is as good as any...

Is that all??????
Fek me thats a bargain
Hes a quality player, ive always rated him.
Proper no nonsense winger
Yeah, that's a bargain, apparently Shepherd thanked them for selling him so cheap! Chelsea paid almost 3 and a half times as much for him a few years back... Makes no difference to them of course, I suppose it could have an interesting effect if they sell off quality players on the cheap that they don't want anymore to teams who haven't been doing so well. You could argue it'll be good for the game, or another example of how they're distorting things with their money...
