I think you need to back off the distortion a bit dude..
You can make things hard without being distorted.. right now it's a bit grating to the ears, especially at higher volumes.
Structure sounds fine though

i'd say distorted only on certain elements, never across the whole mix... maybe that helps

Yeah distortion is fine if you use it sparingly, and try to eq or filter out the higher frequencies a bit as those are the ones that grate on the ears.
Maybe try to run it all through a tube warmer or something to try and take the edge off.
