Anybody got any suggestions as to what synth would good to purchase for techno production? At the moment I'm thinking of buying a novation a-station as it sounds good to me and is also cheap. Any thoughts on this? All help is appreciated.

I think he want's hardware.

Erm the microKorg is a bit thin in the sound. Go and listen first before you buy in the shop.

I think quasimidi has gonne belly up about some 3 years ago... so Technox module would mean 2nd hand markett...

If we talk 2nd hand markett we r talkin a all new world, but it's hard 2 tell what u'll b able 2 find and at what price...

so if at all possible Supernova/ Nova by novation, Acess Virus, Clavia Nordlead...

but hey these suggestions ae based around the fact that these r great machines and can give ya more than 1 channel!! Also some nice sound modules r Emu Orbit, ... from the top of my head I really can't think of anything else appropriate but I'm quite sure there is somethin!

but serieusly if you can get a techno-x, get it!!
second hand around 200 / 300 euro's.
price / quality is really competitive compared with other modules like emu orbit.... and you can get the same ruff techno sounds, and ambient soundscapes.

I've got a Techno-X sitting on teh bottom shelf in my living room. Make me an offer I can't refuse. Better if you can collect it mind you I'm hopeless at getting to the post office in any decent timeframe!
