This Thursday sees the remixer to the stars, Radioslave, make his debut Irish appearance at Electric City in Wax. Radioslave is dance music's man of the moment whose work with DJ Hell, Kylie Minogue (where he famously mixed Kylie with New Order's 'Blue Monday'), Carl Craig, Talking Heads, Gwen Stefani and even Elton John has made him currently one of the most in-demand remixers working today. With numerous recording projects (Rekid, Radioslave, DJ Maxxi, Quiet Village, Mathew E, Sea Devils), Matt Edwards' music breaks down the traditional barriers of dance music – house, broken beat, techno, electro, hip-hop, disco cut-ups – and influences from Walter Gibbons to Andy Weatherall to DJ Harvey to create a truly unique sound.

Some of the people to have been touched by the controls of Radioslave are: Fischerspooner,. Kylie Minogue, X-Press 2, Elton John, FC Kahuna, Bob Sinclair, Tiga, Pepe Deluxé, Benny Benassi, Kirlian Camera, Chelonis R Jones, Freeform 5, Paul McCartney, Cagedbaby, Carl Craig, Roman Flugel, DJ Hell, Marc Romboy, Justice. AS well as thism, unofficial remixes of the likes of The Stripes, Aphex Twin, Nelly, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake have all been snaking aroundover the past few years - all optimised by the master hand of Radioslave.

Matt Edwards as Radioslave has put out records on his own Rekid label and as Quiet Village Project on the stunning Whatever We Want ( the elusive label run by DJ Harvey), Skint, Crosstown Rebels and many more. This years' 'My Bleep' on Rekid has been rocking floors all summer and the Roman Flugel version has bleeped it up to the maxi. Rekid is the also the recording pseudonym he uses for his more serious/underground work and his releases on Soul Jazz are amazing slabs of tech/disco/slowed down house, his trademark sound as seen on several releases and an album release.

Radioslave goes deep in to the cosmic-rock, balearic and Italo sounds with his 'Quiet Village Project' alongside Joel Martin. This duo have put out several hard to find records on Harvey's ''Whatever We Want' label displaying a killer series of rock, electro and cosmic jams.

The hardest thing to do with Radioslave is categorise, but to help here's some his biggest influences: J-Dilla (RIP), Carl Craig, Walter Gibbons, Vangelis, Larry Heard, Green Velvet, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Secret Base (Japan), Alter Ego, Theo Parrish, KDJ, Tom Moulton, DJ Harvey, Maurice Fulton, Daniel Wang, Alexander Robotnick, Neptunes, Daft Punk, Mark Gonzales, Basic Channel, Mark Isham, Thrasher Magazine, Daniele Baldelli, Gimme 5, James Holden, Dr Dre, Vans, Keith Haring, Snoop Dogg, Don Eddy, Richie Hawtin, Kenny Scharf, Bounty Hunter (Japan), Larry Levan, Rheji Burrell, Klaus Schulze, Francois Kervorkian, Pushead, Peter Gabriel, Rusty Egan, Jamel Shabazz, Motorhead, Kate Bush, Kaws....and Ricardo Villalobos !. A quality selection that warms the streets of Electric City and we can't wait to check his Djing reflecting the range.

Radioslave is fresh from playing at this years's Sonar and clubs across the globe and it will be a pleasure to have him land down inside the Electric Citadel. Support on the night comes zooming in from Electric City resident, DJ Simon Conway playing some super cosmic and Italo jams to rock the planet rock.
