if you've checked some previous beats by pharrell and timbaland for i.e. missy, busta or clipse, you'd noticed it already. ;)

Yes I know Timbaland did the beats.. but this is Justin! :cheese:

It's honestly not too bad. Better than some other stuff that is released underground that I won't mention.

Killer production, pretty catchy too. It's as as good pop music as you're gonna hear these days.

lol
most of the consumers who buy this don't even know what minimal is
timbaland tried to play innocent to jungle music when he first came out
but we all know what time it is

Love timbalands productions, and pharrel. They have chocked out some pumpin minimal, although I think it`s crunk when it`s hip hop isn`t it?
or Krump

Or some other made up word.

i think timbaland knows what he is doing
and crunk is more like lil jons work with the heavy synth work

thought it was Timbaland straight away. really like his production...

anyone like Scott Stortch or The Alchemist? personally my favourite hiphop producers of all time.......

im feeling the beat to Sexy Back, but i just dont like JT's voice with the crazy distortion plugin (although i know they did it on purpose)

Wasn't BT already a bit of a cheesy trancemaster, or did I get that wrong?

Well, yes and no.

His first few albums were pretty good IMHO.

Flaming June is a classic.

ahm... BT was Sasha's prodigal son was he not lol

he was always trance/prog/cheese.. i liked a few earlier trax, but thats it. Faming June was epic cheeser trance imo. quality epic cheeser trance, but epic cheeser trance noe the less ;)

Thing is, in the mid 90's epic cheeser trance wasn't necessarily that cheesy.

(IMHO)

If you judge a style of music by where the kick drum sits you have much to learn young man.

right then.. ahm.. i'm obviously listening to some obscure break based hip hop.. that has.. uhm.. not.. 4/4.. like.. not like house or techno.. or trance.. or uhm.. anything.. 4/4..

not only is sexy back a good song
but it's far from crunk
or the dance called krumpin' with the clowns.
i would define this as house ish with that timbaland appeal
velvet would play this
should remix it too

time signatures and placement of the kicks have nothing to do with eachother

when describing a straightbeat, say its straightbeat. when its not, its broken beat.
