For everyone that has'nt seen this post by mzone here it is!!
The idea of the keepin records seperate from others sounds good to me!
Its easy to get Gazumped in this industry we are in. people try to prize information from you if your seen to be hitting on something new. They will tempt you with publicity only to take whats yours and claim it as thier own idea. I have worked hard since 1992 to make people aware of the sound I play, and I get quized quite often.

I've seen Happy hard core Dj's pinch the sound, to call it Trance-core ( I always wondered why they used to ask me for a mix tape) and even pinching elements of new energy mixing it up with Hard trance Then calling it Hard-House (It's strange that I produced GBT's first trance release 1994 & produced Chris C's first releases 1994 Tin ribs first hit and was A&R Label manager for Boscaland Boscabeats. and that most of my artiste's from Uk44 are in the H-House scene now). I can only look back and see what effect the music I played had on these people as they saw a lack of names in the scene for thier versions of this music. they decided to call it whatever they wanted so as only to claim it as thier own scene. little did they know that it had a name already Hardtrance Steming from its roots in Hamburg north Germany but now there catching on because we the originals never called it anything else. and thier scene is almost dead and lost it credebility.
Event as we speak I know that most of our Favorite labels we play now have been aproched by Alpha Magic,Tidy & Nucleus etc.
Even Dirk from Uberdruck tells me about them.

As I see it If they can create a new name for hardtrance then it becomes easy to take over as the creators. leaving the doors wide open for thier super star dj's to claim the crowns again.
They cant do that with Hardtrance because there's allready established Dj's there. but to normal clubbers who just go for the name of the night it would be something new to them. and easy to market too.

Its a way to take over a scene by missleading the public.

"wheres Mark eg, M-zone and others that play hardtrance "
You see its harder for them to change to a style thats allready established.

You know what, I realy think this name comes from requests for licensing in europe. Its seems strange but if you can imagine.

UK="Excuse me but were looking to license some of your tacks, I dont know what style its called but its kind of a hardstyle."

D="oh you call it Hardstyle well we call it hardtrance"

UK="Oh no, its not trance, its harder. We cant take it if its trance, trance is dead"

D= "Oh Ok, its hardstyle. how much are you offering????"

and you know what, because these are succesfull labels making the request the Europian labels they think thats what we all call it too.

dont let hardstyle have a life. all they are doing is pinching it for them selves. its @#%$ Hard Trance!!!!!! as it was named in 1991 by the Germans. Correct them as it is a ploy to comecialise our scene.
Think about it what sounds better hard-trance, or hardstyle .
The Top Dj's like Judge jules etc and Mag's like Mix Mag like Hard style of course. its a new name for an old sound that does'nt sound so hard. (easy to sell to the masses!!!! as trance for them is dead) easy to claim too as there are no existing top hardstyle Dj's for this new scene and it would be harder to push aside the allready established DJ's.
They just wan't a slice for themselves. They did it with trance and hard-house (which as far as I could remember was New Energy) back in 1996+ dont let it happen again.

Now I'm wondering was it a good idea to help some people with Clue's to ideas I have and directions I'm going in. giving interviews etc. Justin knows that I gave him the information about Italian Hard Trance labels when they first setup ages ago and he knows that sometimes I feel a bit p'ed off about telling him. but I can't have it all to myself. He knows the effect I have and always does that bit extra for me now.

I Dont worry about the hype any more by the time they big Dj's get a foot hold I'll have moved on as I always do. I just worry about why the originators of a scene seem to be swept aside after doing all the ground work

I've learned that its not all about me any more or how far I can get up the ladder, but about them on the dance floor. them who pay to hear me, them that have followe'd me and given me respect. these things I love about this scene genuine respectfull people who just love to dance to good music. These people come to a club because of the Dj's and the sound they play and not because of the club name.
I sometimes feel a bit sad that I dont act about behind the decks and sometimes feel underpressure because I dont take @#%$ or realy drink like other Dj's. But I'm here for the music and the people in the scene and I will allways be available to talk too, and help in any way I can. I will put up with the crap that comes with the job and the politics within it, as its not for me but for them above that I keep doing this and I see the effect I have.

I will not sell out! or be miss led again!

If some one from the crowd asks about a track tell them to go to german trance shop. If its a dj from another scene tell him to go to German trance shop or to F-Off. They will get to know what it is any way sooner or later, There are lots of Dj's that will give the name away for a bit of publicity. Keep it to yourself for as long as you can. what seams to happen is they get the label & track name, they go to thier local store who then ask Alpha magic for it, who then order tons of it and plaster the scene. (There's another company I help when I aranged a meeting with them and Music mail Germany in 1995 What a mistake that was). I am trying to get Justin to have an exclusive page for Dj's who need them sneekies that other stores cant find out what label it on etc, maybe even covering the label up at German trance. You will have to listen to it first and you will never know what it is untill its officially released. What do you think. Just remember when they do get the name or the record, then take it out of your box as soon as you can and forget it and move on.

Quite often you will feal like you have been @#%$ on when you break a new track and some one claims the glory. but its part of the job and those in the know will often comment on your efforts in the scene and this will keep you going.

Thank you all who know what I have done in the past and have given me respect and know me for who I am. I respect you all too.
Keeping this scene alive is my priority.

Merry Christmas to you.
