i agree too, it's a mans sport, i salute mike newell for his comments.

if they want to play or officiate the game then that is what womens football is for.

one of my fav footy comments ever is by rodney marsh:

"the only place women have in football is serving the tea at half time"

No no place women in mens football.

They wouldnt command the respect that they need to control a game.

Men ref men, women ref women

i personally don't havea problem with it, as long as they're upto the standard,w hich going by this years must be low

but the only problem i see is this, coming from players, managers and fans, if they lose that respect, its going to get messy

We've had the lady assistant twice at the Turf, once she had a mere, second time you didn't even notice her

Women officiating snooker is alright, but not football!

Even the Men officials in Football I am ashamed to even call men, biggest bunch of pussies i have ever seen, they remind me of bullied children. If the women were any good i would not have a problem but as Newell said it was political correctness to have them in charge.

Rodny Marsh's comment which got him the sack was a comment about the Tsnami and the Toon Army, it upset a couple of old ladies and a gay priest so they had to get sack him.

It woundn't really matter as long as they could control a game without making to many daft mistakes and spoiling the game for the fans...

Doesnt bother me either but am glad theres people out there like i.e. Newell that will stand up and be counted even if he did apologise:laughing:
