Xpress Winter Extravaganza...
The final one of the year!
Very Special Guests
Michael Paterson (Colours, 23rd Precinct, Limbo)
Michael Paterson is most definitely one to watch. In a matter of just a few years the young Scot has rocketed up through the ranks of the UK's most exciting turntablist talents, going from bedroom player and occasional warm-up guest to lynchpin of one of the country's leading clubs.
As one of the cornerstone Colours residents, Michael provides the firm musical foundation on which the club's many world-renowned guests build their sets. And whether it's Carl Cox or Sasha, Fergie or Seb Fontaine, they've all welcomed the benefits of Michael's exceptional talents for reading a crowd, building a groove and making a night.
Specializing in the sort of chunky, throbbing progressive house that made the sound great before it was ruined for most by the plodding, pedestrian efforts of less exciting DJs, Michael can also be found playing out house, some electro, the odd bit of garage, funk galore and even a bit of harder stuff when the mood takes him.
He's an all-rounder in the best possible sense, a DJ who innately understands what his dance floor wants and plays it - regardless of his own tastes. This is not a spinner whose ego gets in the way - only his ears do that!
Michael's music is all the proof needed - and if you've heard him you'll know that already.

Kirsty Munro (Death Disco)
Over the last two years Kirsty has progressed from her humble beginnings as a bedroom DJ in to being a resident DJ at one of The Arches most successful nights, Death Disco.
After buying a set of turntables three years ago whilst studying music at university, Kirsty started to build sets incorporating a mix of house, electro, techno and breaks.
In May 2005, Kirsty recognised the potential in offering a pre club venue to the already established Sunday club night Optimo (Espacio). This is where she began her work with John Mitchell and formed The Manhattan Project. The duo continued to play every Sunday night and in November 2006 were offered the chance to play for Death Disco.
Kirsty’s DJ sets commonly compromise of a mix of the latest electro and techno releases combined with house, breaks and 80’s electronic music. The combination of Kirsty’s selection of music and her enthusiasm for it always provides a tremendous and memorable night out for the crowd.
