Hope you'll join us for the last LOST event of 2006, thanks to all those
who've joined us throughout the year!
To round things up the we've invited a few of our favourite artists and djs
who've helped past parties go off with a bang!
Jeff Mills, needs no introduction, an uncompromising pioneer within the
field of electronic music his name is synonymous with that of the LOST dance
floor. His electrifying sets have become the stuff of legend and his music
concepts the benchmark of modern electronic innovation continuing to define
contemporary music at every level. No doubt, his set on this occasion will be
spliced with exclusive excerpts from his forthcoming 'one man spaceship'
project, which we will profile in more detail next year!
Also in the red room UK electronic pioneers PLAID push us forward into the realms
of the experimental. A production team who have endeavoured to provide a
discography that spans the history of UK techno itself. Originally comprising two thirds
of the original Black Dog line up they've continued to develop their considerable and
prolific output on Warp, culminating most recently with their much acclaimed cd/dvd
project Greedy Baby, collaborating with visual artist Bob Jaroc. Other collaborations
include work with artists as diverse as Bjork, Portishead, Red Snapper and Nicolette
alongside gigs at the Barbican, RFH and many other worldwide dates. This set finds
them fusing turntable djing with laptops, enabling unreleased material to be featured
alongside familiar musical gems.
Having helped pioneer the sound of electronic dance music, before it hit the
mainstream, Steve Bicknell has been taking a step sideways recently due to a
surfeit of music production including soundtracks for shows and documentary.
The sublime sound of Cosmic records will be resumed in 2007!
Oliver Ho's reputation is constantly;y evolving, a much talented dj/producer
with a creative edge his work embraces a personal outlook and individual
vision as found within his Meta imprint, Light and Dark and Exist projects.
Opening the proceedings in the red, John Kennedy, no longer inhabiting the
Big Apple but making the trek from South America.
Purple features a host of alternative sounds reflective of our Spacebase
gatherings brought to you by Cosmic's Kim Bilir, Juergen Junker, Toru and
Mario who've all previously graced the decks for us to great acclaim!
Hope to see you there!
Thanks for all your support!
