Im having trouble getting onto a certain site, ive been recommended to change my ip number, but everytime i try, NTL chucks me off.
Any ideas please?

How are you changing your ip? You should use a proxy. Depedning on your web browser you can do this quite easilly with a search on google.

You get a dynamic ip with NTL anyway.
Not sure how often they change. I'd get on to NTL support and ask if you can force an ip change. You might just need to get a command prompt up and do...
ipconfig /renew
Alternatively, you might need to do
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
or something.
This is assuming Win2K / WinXP.

tbh i think he's much better off going via a web proxie. If his IP is blocked then its most likely going to be some kind of pattern match so they'll block not just his, but all of the IPs that NTL dish out. blocking specific IPs is pointless when 99% of the people who use the net get dynamically assigned their IP as and when they connect.
