Cool
Can you use vst plugins to normalise, compress, maxmise etc once you have recorded?
Does anyone use that Adobe program?

Use soundforge myself.
I use soundforge 8
You can run DX plugins like Waves for mastering your mixes in it

audition? not too impressed with it to be honest
If your aiming for the best quality possible its a good idea to record and do all the processing in 24bit.
Then dither down to 16bit once its all complete
