Well what can i say.
We've been a bit crap, so to compensate we're putting out a double hitter of Total Recall 5 + 6 together!!
Thanks to all of those who have supported, we've got some exciting news coming up, so keep it locked!
as always catch us on Breakpirates Sundays 11-1 GMT
Also Penfold will be supplying the Guest mix for Dark Wax radio this sunday as well, taking a journey back into what has loosely been described as "old skool" liquid Jungle...
Total Recall 5 Press Release: Nostromo E.P.
Deep dark and pounding from the innermost recesses of the conjoined mind that is the Electric Tribe comes the next installment in the Total Recall saga. Following on from the new direction of the Andromeda E.P. The tribe draw on their vast background influences from electro to jungle and everything in-between.
It’s Beautiful is a subby kick driven electro-fied number with haunting and pads creeping along. Classic rap vocals from Ice T top it off to bring you a truly pounding underground experience.
Distortion Product takes it’s name and inspiration from little noises that your ears make when you play loud noises to them. It’s dark, acidic, dirty pounding and amen driven with a smidgen of an uplifting trance feel to it tucked away if you listen very carefully…
Total Recall 6 Press release: Acid Archives Volume 1
Founding Tribe member DLB takes things back to the beginning with this couple of cheeky acid house numbers.
"Funk Me on the Dancefloor" has a wandering acid line over a pounding groove to jack your body to. Interspersed are lot's of vocals from news reports around the original acid house explosion, as well as a killer sample of a couple of old grannies debating rave culture... Does what it says on the tin
"Boom stick" is on a slightly more laid back acid house vibe. It's all about the groove!
