I was thinking about this the other day, what is everyone's favourite Drummer tune? For me solo work it has to be either Hydraulix 11 or Cradle cap. Collaboration work I would defo say Hydraulix 15- What a tune :rambo: closely followed by Yolk 5........That was a hard decission

I dunno, there's that much I like. I recently got one he did on Goodfellas that's blindin'. I also have a really old tune he did as Strobe on Eukatech that rocks, other than it has been pressed too quietly. As for the Hydro stuff though, it has to be 16 with Blackout Audio, that proper 'as-it.

Im actually stil digging henry's remix on Hydraulix 13.2

I don't think i can pick a single fav cause it does span accross a lot of differant musical styles and periods. they're all lovely.

my favourite is 'proper' on smitten, in fact thats my favourite acid techno tune full stop......when I mentioned this to henry when he played at our night he said he had heard somebody playing it out and didn't recognise it at first, but then I suppose he has released a shed load of tunes....Also for full on darkness you can't really beat the 'your the one' tune off the dig your own grave ep....it even has bass noises which sound like they don't quite fit, but yet they do....scary.

of newer stuff, the funky and especially the clanking off 4X4 18 with j. liberator are really some good tunes, i imagine theyll be a bit hard to squeeze into a techno set, but damn they are enjoyable to listen to by themselves, and also the best i heard until now on the label. many dont seem to like them, but they are some great new sounds to me :)

hola amigos,

I am going to toss an old hit onto the griddle to see if it sticks:

Build Up the M'ing F'ing Pressure

yeah, you remember, don't you? its a tad long but for those willing to committ thou wert blessed with some of the most pure 303 work witnessed to date. (punishment farm, phwoar, get your raincoat lest you piss yourself.) the sizzle on the top end of the spectrum was enough to scalp your injun.

A bit obvious as a pick but there it is. As others have declared, he's done too much top work for us to be having a serious discussion about what is "best"

thanks Henry for all of it
respect,
kangxi

I must say Hydraulix 9 is my favorite for sure. The a-side with the Black Panthers sample gives it such a Black feel which always works well on a NY dance floor, and thye flip side was super creative use of disco-y samples in a hard techno tune, great brain mashing synth rise in the background of both tracks as well! repect to Henry

def agree,,,i love that record -a side- esp like just cross fading that "ladies and gentelmen, there IS a place for u in america" (just found out it was a black panther sample) and makes total sense from the strength and feel of the voice,,,and the ppl always seem to dig it,,,,also a great driving bassline that can kick things up a notch
