Friday June 8th at Temple Bar Music Centre.
Technasia - DJ Set [Sino / Star Tracks - Paris]
Eddie Brennan [Electric City]
Admission - e15
Friday June 8th sees the mighty Technasia come to Electric Shock for a firing DJ set to rock the last ever Electric Shock to be hosted at the TBMC. Yes, that's right ES #13 will be the last one at the TBMC as that venue changes hands. We'll be taking a break for the summer months but will be coming on strong with the return of Electric Shock later in the year with some super shock events in a new space. No better person than Charles Siegling to see us out one doors as his skills and track selection make him one on the hottest DJs around with the likes of Dave Clarke & Laurent Garnier count amongst his biggest fans. It was one of our favourite ever nights in Wax when he last played back in November of last year and Charles reckons it was one of the best parties he has played at. We're looking forward to hearing him spin again for one last hurrah in the TBMC.
His Plus Mix from 2001 and the FUSE mix compiled two years later are two of the most rocking dynamic mixes to get us up the M50 over the past few years. Killer tracks from Chicago, Detroit, Berlin alongside many of their own their own dynamite productions pepper these mixes. What makes them really stand out aside from the track selection is the constant tweaking, filtering and really working the records that makes Technasia DJ sets unmissable. Ghetto rocking tracks from DJ Funk and the Waxmen stand tall alongside killer releases from Keith Tucker, Jeff Mills and Joris Voorn for a rolling mix through the years.
Busy travelling the globe and releasing on his own Sino and Technasia imprints, Siegling also finds the time for his side project 'Star Tracks' label which is a hush-hush limited edition label of DJ tools that stay in the boxes of those who know. Last year saw Siegling release the 'Two' EP on Ethique and an album 'Pop Soda' with Amil Khan guise on their Technasia imprint. Also this year, Technasia have pushed their ghetto credentials to the max with the 'Ghett-O-Freak' EP with DJ Godfather and '2 The Floor' with DJ Nasty carving up dancefloors all year. Not content with all that, they have just remixed Theo Parrish's 'Falling Up' which has been destroying clubs across the globe as much as the killer Carl Craig version. This exclusive 3 Deck CDJ appearance will be the beginning of a busy festival season as Siegling jets off to events like Monegros, Dour, Antiworld, Divine, Aquasella and more.
Don't miss the chance to see one of the world's freshest and most technically devastating DJs up close as he rocks the party like no other at ES #13. Support comes from Meath-man and EC resident, Eddie Brennan. Just back from playing in Germany, Eddie has a busy EC month ahead with another appearance alongside Oliver Huntemann lined up for Wax at the end of the month.
