After three weeks of International guests [three who cared and one who didn't] this Thursday we make a much needed return to an all local line up. Kicking things off with some deep robot sounds we have electricity-dublin.com head honcho Dan Ring who makes his first appearance at the club since January and his last before he heads off Stateside for the rest of the summer and beyond. His italo sounds, long hair and fuzzy beard will be missed by all at EC over the coming months. Safe travels Dan!

Appearing live is the mysterious True Ego who grabbed our attention with a CD of his own productions that found its way into our greasy lámhs. A killer mix of Chicago & Detroit sounds meant we had to find out more. Having asked the Ego for some words to describe himself, he supplied us with the following labyrinthine passage of verbosity

Back from his sojourn in the unpleasant depths of the punishment realms, True Ego returns to the isle of longing, to bring news of his journeys through the Trashy Real. He took note as he waded the Faecal Fields knowing, with guidance from his good friend, the Baron of Whispers he could fulfill his mission in bringing forth forgotten reveries, from a time before silliness. Past cliff top mysteries and through plume and pentacle True Ego conveys his haunted house, live in Electric City - do not miss.

Following on from True Ego's live set we welcome back EC regular and now first degree honours student Oisin Murphy. Oisin last rocked it out at the club when he was just your average joe soap student in September 2007 and was unlucky [due to him being on his travels at the time] not to become resident at the club when we were handing out 'I'm a resident at Electric City' stickers. A super smooth DJ, Oisin has been getting ready for this set for the last number of weeks only taking a break for the small matter of his graduation party.
