Pounding Grooves – Live Set July 1999

Bit of a treat... i just dug this out. after seeing loads of old sets posted on the Acid forum.

It's a set Mr Grooves recorded for my VFR radio show back in 1999. He came to the studio in with a lorry load of kit, spent about 2 hours setting up in a 6x3 room (bits all over the floor, wires everywhere) then proceded to hammer it out big time... on a local Reading radio station at 2am to a loyal listenership of one man and his dog!

It really was special... raw as hell and twice as heavy. It was recorded onto vhs (don't ask why, I aint got a clue). I then transfered it to minidisc a while later, and converted it to mp3 today.

If any kind soul with a bad ass studio can do anything to clean up the sound, pm me! I would be eternally grateful.

Wish I had a clear version of it. That reminds me of an era I would buy records without having to hear them. Pounding Grooves 11 to die for, same as his Lp on Fine Audio "Pull It Out"

Since Pounding Grooves #3 I've never listened to them in the shop, just bought it and taken it home to play. Lawrie's never let me down with that label. Always tip top quality. :)

a gem for sure, livepa's & pre-2003 sets,well basicly any sets by Mr Dunster is still a rare treat on web..
it's gonna be just my 2nd PGV Live so far, if i'm not mistaking.. oh no, forgot some (fuiii how could i?!! was there that night lolz) one he did over here in Holland (Leiden) back in.. 2004.

right, i found this mix.

im trying to edit it from a cd i burned it to a loing time ago. and i've lost the orginal wav.

the cd is absolutely ****ed. the origian was never brillaint sound quality.

but its better than nothing.

pounding grooves live, with two guys on a radio show absolutely twatted on good 90's pills. happy days.

dudes. i've not been on here for ages... sorry i missed this. but good to see DY sorting it out.

The set was originally recorded onto VHS (no kidding), then transferred to minidisc, then transferred to my computer analog-style.
