Hello Ladies and Gentlegeezers
Just wanted to let you know whats going on at www.trackitdown.net
Since I started my job at trackitdown (as Content Manager) one of main aims was to improve the techno section and bring in the labels that are/was missing..
One of the things I talked about with Mark EG was the sub genres (or lack of it). This has been since implemented and you can now browse the site and find your particular style with ease. (ie Hard Techno, Funky techno, deep whatever!)
You can now also filter the top 100 by your favourite genre also..
We have also been extremely busy signing up labels that we feel needed to be on the site such as Varela's Pornographic, Patrik Skoogs "We are" , France's Adrenaline, Mary's "Soul Access" .. and some labels exclusively such Axel Karakasis's Remains (belting label it is too) and it keeps on growing..
In these days of Minimal Madness we are still promoting the real techno genres - of course we are doing the minimal thing too but we are also not giving up on the "original techno"
I'm also very interested in what you think and if you have any thoughts on how we can improve this service as we move more and more into the digital world (Yeah I still have my Vinyl labels but I don't think Vinyl will be lasting too long)
Also if you have your own Techno labels and are interested in selling them on a digital portal then get in touch with me pete@trackitdown.net
