Bolton have confirmed that they have rejected an undisclosed offer from Chelsea for the services of Nicolas Anelka, looks like they want more dollar for him...

I'm sure Bolton had Anelka tied up on a 4 year deal just recently, so no wonder they are trying to cash in big style...

aye you can't blame them, they know they're gonna be able to get mega dollar for him from one of the big clubs...

Id pay £15 million for him tops...

And even that i think is pushing it, apparently chelsea offered in the region of £12 million +.

Hes a quality player but has a bad attitude and his brothers a blurt.. I dont know whether chelsea is the right team to cope with his tempremental attitude.

The man needs to be contstantly loved and adored which he gets a bolton. If things dont go his way at chelsea and there fans well if you can call them that not gettin behind him and slating him like i think we could see the return of

Le Sulk.

I think he has matured over the years now and maybe his time has come for a big club. He should do well at Chelsea who will need a replacement for Drogba who has said he wants to leave at the end of the season.

holliers bigest mistake was letting anelka go,then replacing him with diouf.he could still be in charge now if he kept hold of him as hes shown how good he is.

And Anelka really wanted to play for Liverpool and has said how upset he was when Houlier did not want him.

if Anelka goes to either Utd or the rent boys, he'll be the league's top scorer by the end of the season.

word is Chelsea are looking to wrap up a deal for Anelka before their game with Spurs on Saturday...

latest is that Chelsea have threatened to withdraw their interest in Anelka after negotiations with Bolton Wanderers over the French striker reached an impasse...

in an act of brinkmanship that will be familiar for observers of their pursuit of Ashley Cole eighteen months ago, Chelsea have warned they are ready to walk away unless Bolton lower their valuation to less than £15m

I honestly think Utd should come in for him. Anelka would make a tailor made replacement for Saha.

£15 million. Sounds about right in fairness. Probs the max they could get for him. A uber £7+ million profit for Bolton..

Big scam must be gutted.

Liverpool just signed skrtel aswell, looks promising...

well they been scouting this guy for 3 years..

So if they get it wrong after 3 years then they should all be shot.

Anelka had a decent start at Chelsea and was unlucky not to get a goal....

A fine save and then the crossbar denied a debut goal...

He gave Chelsea a different edge when he came on, with his pace defences will have to defend deeper giving more space for players like Cole, Ballack, wright phillips to play into.

I think Utd were crazy to let Anelka slip through the net.
although theres' a good chance "le sulk" will have preferred chelsea as he's likely to start more games there.
I can only hope Utd have ignored Anelka because they are signing Huntlaar in the summer.
nonetheless, I reckon not signing a striker in the January window could well cost Utd the CL this year.

Tevez and Rooney are young and fit enough to play enough games so as long as they dont get injured you should be alright. Saha still might chip in with a few games here and there.
