a few months ago I got my little mits on a giant spool of coax cable in some random drunk deal - ANYWAY I was wondering about the possibility of using it as patch cord. I did a little test today and I knocked up a length and compared it to some store bought cable. I plugged the coax on left and the regular stuff on the right side and there was no difference at all (seemingly) in level and quality. I'm assuming my mixer has some sort of mad impedance matching kung-fu in it, but the cables clearly had large impedance differences.

Is it wise to go ahead and make a whole batch of these bad boys?
Will it ruin any of my equipment?
Any ideas???
