Hi all,

Just wanted to share some of the live stuff I'm working on in 08. This mix here is a promo of all original material and I'm not sure how long it will be up on the server, but its there for now! I'll be swapping it out with updated recordings throughout the year.

Dbit, born David Bitterman, began his positive education in electronic music production in Detroit’s burgeoning early 90’s techno scene. With a background playing guitar in rock and experimental outfits his intense interest in the newly emerging sounds of Detroit techno naturally led to a desire to produce and manipulate them himself.

In addition to music production Dbit is no stranger to the ones and twos having been a DJ at established and underground venues across the United States including Detroit’s own Motor Lounge, named ‘Best Club in America’ (2001) by URB, the country’s biggest electronic music magazine.

In the late 90’s and early 2000’s Dbit was a founding partner and manager of two Detroit based record labels, Music-In-Formation and Live Wire Records, releasing chart topping vinyl by stateside techno veterans Tim Xavier, Andrei Morant, Kero, Dustin Zahn, Ian Lehman, and others, along side his own original works and remixes. A remix for Metamatics commissioned by the popular electronic music label Hydrogen Dukebox exposed Dbit to a new wider audience within the electronic music genres.

In 2007 following several years of traveling between Detroit and Chicago Dbit returns with his latest project for Chicago Based Zuvuya Recordings. The “Cosmic Calamity E.P.” is the latest release from the Zuvuya camp and features four original cuts from Dbit. Also notable, David's co-production (with idm staple Kero) in the track "Prof Railer" was featured on international techno icon Surgeon's first mix cd for Warp Records which was released in late 07..

Got problems here. Ultra slow d/l speeds for some reason. Will try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you enjoy it!

The server it's hosted on is run by a local friend and it doesn't host that many corporate clients so he tinkers a lot. If you get a slow speed on the DL just try back the next day!

Also if anybody's enjoying the set and will be coming to Detroit for the DEMF festival in a month I'll be playing at the Friendly Integration afterparty alongside some great musicians and friends.

Come say hi!
