Rar files.

Ok, I know I'm being think and I'm pretty damn sure im doing something worng here, but I have just downloaded some software in the form of .rar. So I attempt to extract the files 1 by 1 but the f.cker keeps telling me that I need the next file to continue. Now this is where I'm getin stuck- how can it have the other part if it wont let me open it without the next part and so and so on...?

its a split archive mate. Just download all the parts into the same folder and then extract from anyone and it will do it all automatically. You MUST have all the parts though otherwise there is no way to do it (that I know of anyway)

for some reason it doesn't want to do it automatically man. it keeps telling me that i need to go back to the previous volume and extract that first... man this wreckng my head.

open the main rar , right click the mouse, highlight all the icons, select "Extract here" and bobs your uncle

Tried that and it half worked. I can only assume that the files are corrupt. Bugger it, it was shite software any way.

i've had a problem like this but i can't remember how i got around it, bit of useless info for you there:lol:

it was just corrupt shitty rar files is all. I downloaded it from another source and it worked fine. sorted.
