I have been fixing my house mates decks and DJM for the past couple of weeks, volume faders, toggle switches and a buggered pitch control. So he asks me to remove the click and quartz lock- never down this before but it is a simple enough Job and reversable should it all go balls up. Gonna sort the grounding out on them too, the standard grounding on technics are a pain in the harris.
I will get photo's and instructions and all that posted up when I have it done too.
Happy days! :-)

It isn't the hardest operation to be honest mate. I will post up pics and instructions. The biggest pain in the arse so far repairs wise is replacing toggle switches on the DJM, christ almighty you have to open up EVERYTHING!

Bigtime, I do deck clinic at my gaf every weekend pretty much now, just general maintenance.
I replaced the audio cables on one set last week, makes some difference. It's going to be a a couple of weeks before I get my new PC so I will get pics up etc as soon as I do. :-)

Here's a linky poo: http://technics.junglist.pl/hacking_technics.html
Tis exactly the hack you need.
Wicked hack..

Ok, inside the pitch control housing there is a notch at true zero position which catches a little ball bearing which is in the actual pitch control. All you need to do is pop that little ****er out and job done. I will bosh up some pics if you want?
