Having pioneered the sound of electronic music before it hit the mainstream, Bank Holiday Sunday sees LOST bring together Jeff Mills and Kevin Saunderson, both playing exclusive UK dates at LOST, reflecting two stages within the evolution of Detroit techno music. Both, have continued to prove a force and influence within the whole of dancefloor music and time has not diminished their influence on the dance floor

Jeff Mills returns to LOST once again to push the boundaries of music. An uncompromising pioneer both as dj and producer, his electrifying dj sets have become the stuff of legend and his music concepts the benchmark of modern electronic innovation. Over the past years LOST has provided Jeff with a base to experiment, develop new ideas and of course spin at a great party, he continues to define contemporary music at every level!
Jeff Mills and Mike Banks set out on a mission with Underground Ressistance representing a revolution for change, which their music more than achieved. Few have not been influenced by their era defining classics such as Seawolf , X101 and X102. Jeff Mills continued to pursue his musical vision with the creation of Axis records followed by Purpose Maker, building an outstanding body of work including the Mecca ep, Cycle 30, Waveform Transmissions, Growth and many more, not forgetting the ‘Bells’ which still resounds on dancefloors across the board throughout the world. His influence is profound! This is the first opportunity to experience a Jeff Mills set in London this year!

Kevin Saunderson retains his place in music history as a member of the ‘Belleville’ three, alongside Derrick May and Juan Atkins, considered to be the originators of techno, specifically Detroit techno. Influenced by the fusion of pop, disco, and funk music played by ‘Electrifying Mojo’, Saunderson was inspired to create his own music. releasing Triangle of Love under the pseudonym Kreem on Atkins' label, Metroplex.
In 1987, he went on to form Inner City and produced the only true ‘techno’ music with a mainstream profile with tracks Big Fun and Good Life, which have been continuous hits ever since Over the years, Inner City has had around 12 Top 40 hits in the UK and two Top 20 albums, with combined sales of more than 6 million. Continuously in demand as a dj on dancefloors across the board, Kevin Saunderson retains his integrity as dj/producer who has mastered the ‘crossover’ without compromising the integrity of his work. Take the opportunity to experience a set from one of the ‘originators’ whose approach is as fresh as ever!

Steve Bicknell continues to showcase his take on machine funk . defining the
essence of the musical tone in the red area while showcasing the sonic style
of Cosmic Records.

Steve become synonymous with the sound of the seminal Lost events and the electronic dance music that it has pioneered and championed. Lost wasn't where it started for Steve, a veteran dj of the early UK dance scene he had the good fortune to participate in many events that have gone down in the history of UK club culture. A truly international DJ, Steve Bicknell has travelled the world with his unique representation playing across Europe, Japan, Australia and North America at the most respected clubs, parties and events. Although known for minimal techno there is a deep affinity to all forms of experimental music. Apart from hard hitting techno or Chicago style acid house sets Steve is also responsible for the intimate 'Spacebase' parties. On the production side. Having first released under the guise of 'Lost' on Perfecto and Mute in the early nineties, Steve Bicknell's sound took a step forward in 1993 with the release of three limited edition EP's Cosmic Records.
Now with a considerable catalogue of Steve's own work on the label and various sub-divisions Cosmic stands at the forefront of global electronic music. Other labels within the Cosmic family include Clubtracks, featuring Steve's housier S.B.Projects and eps from Chicago producers; Lost Recordings, music produced to reflect the LOST dancefloor and ID(entity); work by prominent producers with a close affinity to the Cosmic/Lost sound, produced under alternative guises Steve Bicknell has also produced soundtracks for arts council theatre projects and productions. There are few who have continued to push the boundaries of music, promotion and helped shape a scene.
