Sequence in October sees a very special event lined up with headlining sets from three of the most prominent figures in contemporary electronic music. Heading up the proceedings is the Sequence debut of Andrew Weatherall. Andrew has been at the top of his game since 1989, producing some of the greatest remixes of all time and being instrumental in the rise of indie-dance, turning tracks by artists such as The Happy Mondays, Primal Scream and James into all time club classics. He's equally as revered for his own legendary production output... as Sabres of Paradise with Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns, Two Lone Swordsmen with Keith Tenniswood and through many other monikers including Klart, Basic Units, Blood Sugar and Rude Solo. These days however, he's best known for his vinyl only Dj sets (a rarity) taking in techno, minimal, electro, acid and any other genres he can get his hands on that fit in the mix.

For October we also bring you the Manchester debut of Omar S, the grandson of Detroit techno and someone that we have had our eye on for a while to play Sequence. Hailed by those who know as the next Theo Parrish, his raw and primitive sound is pretty hard to place, taking influence from tracky Chicago house and dirty, twisted Detroit techno with a sound that is completely unimitable... in his own words, 'You cannot copy Omar S style. You can only only copy a song that has already been produced by Omar S'. Don't miss the rare chance to see one of the most sought after Dj's and producers of the moment.

Last but certainly not least is the mighty Legowelt, the best known production moniker of Danny Wolfers, the Den Haag based producer responsible for killer releases on labels such as Creme, Viewlexx and Bunker. Danny started producing music in the early 90's when he came into contact with the sounds of Detroit's Underground Resistance and Model 500 along with Chicago heroes Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk and Armando. Mentored by the likes of I-F and Melvin White, Danny went on to release his 'Pimpshifter' EP in 1998 and the rest, as they say, is history. His outstanding live sets are fully hardware based taking in 1983 italo disco, lo-fi chicago trax and classic acid jams - with a raw vibe a million miles away from the clinical, digital approach to most of todays electronic music.

For the bar, we have some of Manchester's finest on hand to provide the soundtrack to the night with sets from Jay Knight, Kev from The Beards, Detroit Public Radio, Peter Mangalore, Tim Hamblin, Thought Universe and Glover.
