So we’ve finally made it to the ripe old age of one and we couldn’t really decide if we started in February or March last year as our first official night was in the Front Page on the 1st of March but we had a free party in Bar Budda a few weeks before which turned into a full on rave up so, just to make sure, we’re throwing not one, but two parties to celebrate a year of quality techno nights! One two room event in February, and one two room event in March with a whole list of top class DJs and live acts!
So that along with the fact that The Warehouse now has a 6am entertainment license is making everything point towards two first-rate nights with some quality techno music!
The first night will be on the 6th of February with ourselves in Room 1 and Room 2 hosted by our friends at Acroplane Records. Our first special guest is Cave from Norway (with a name like that i think he definitely suits hehe) who will be throwing out good proper techno beats!
Name: Inge Kjeilen
Born: 04.12.1980
Location: Oslo / Norway
Cave first started DJing in 1998 and has been playing activly in clubs and events since 1999. His music style has over the years developed into banging fast-paced tribal techno, using 3 decks + effects as well as specialized productions only to be used in his dj sets to make the techno experience greater!
In 2001 Cave started producing tribal techno tracks following a first release on Ben Sims' label "Ingoma", a sublabel of Theory/Hardgroove. This release, named "Carne Levale EP", turned out to be a huge success throughout the world, with the track "Street Carnival" being played regularly by some of the best DJs within techno, names like Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Umek, Marco Bailey etc. aswell as more mainstream names like DJ Tiesto, Judge Jules and Mauro Picotto. The releases ended up selling over 30.000 copies worldwide aswell as appearing on over 40 compilations, and was the themetrack for the huge party Innercity 2003 in Amsterdam.
Closesly following this success came remixes of the "Street Carnival" track by Ben Sims, Gary Martin and house-producer legend Nick Holder was out on the Ingoma imprint earlier this year, in addition to remixes from Max Walder of Street Carnival and a K.Cee remix of the track We So Krazy released november 2003. Making a follow up of the Carne Levale EP, his second release "The Carima EP" on the London based Hydrophonics label was released early 2004, featuring huge tracks like "Cave - Carima". Since then Cave has done releases on many labels, like Carl Cox' Intec label, Primate, Terminal M, Primevil, Ingoma, Wet Musik ++. Early 2005 the first release on Cave's new label Spilo Records was released with great success. The label will has since then continued with huge artists like Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Hertz, Marko Nastic, Boriqua Tribez and many more.
Also in May 2006 the first CD-Compilation came, Cave vs Ortin Cam LIVE! with a live recording of their double-live act following the CD willbbe a huge CD-Release Tour! These days Cave is touring the world with his dj-sets and the brand new live-act, having already visited over 40 countries including Japan, Australia, Brazil, Venezuela, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Belgium ++ with appearences in well known festivals and clubs such as Dance Valley, Awakenings Festival, Fabrik Madrid, Florida 135, Turnmills London ++ and there are several more to go for 2008.
