Here is the latest track I have been working on.

Stream : http://www.7161.com/streamer.cfm?filename_audio=DT_ACF59717928535.mp3&dt_track_id=17582

I am not sure about the second breakdown, I timestreached the distorted loop in logic, then imported it to Ableton, warped it and reset the markers, but still sounds naff to me

I have made no effort to master this.

Any criticism welcome.

cant comment on production as im downstairs on tinpans but in terms of arrangment i quite like it.
i think the 2nd drop your on about is pretty good, fcked up glitchy type works well with the overall feel.....gritty,rough sort of industrial banger.

work some more on it, get it finished.

if by train suffle you mean the sound that runs for nearly the entire track they are 909 HH i use ADM for these but any 909ish hats will do.

then i run them through Kombinat ( http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/product.php?pid=AD019 )

i set it to serise mode, then bit crush first with ther error setting at about 30% ish

then i pass them into the fuzz, and bypass the last module. roll the filter off a bit to get rid of the high end nasty ness, and hay presto.

hope this helps

Well this is a bit of a stomper and no mistake... :;

This has good potential with the right structure and elements to terrorize even the toughest of dancefloors... so mission accomplished on that score

Tell you where the problem lies production wise, it starts with the scratchin' sound - this sits in a particular frequency range and takes up quite alot of room due to the distortion... now it sounds great but it leaves no room for the other elements you are bringing in - - at one point you hear that the scratch/nagging sound that comes in at 1.44 sit right on top of each other, which also has distortion, so the nagging sound then has to be too loud in the mix to be prominent - this makes it all messy and as you can hear, the siren sound which is clear to start is now being drowned out - - also all your hats n top end are sitting around the 1000hz mark and thus disappear too .. ummm i fink...

To sort this perhaps use the scratch more sparingly and not when you use the nagging sound - you will hear the whole mix become clearer if they are separate and will be able to balance your levels better... put some more sub eq on your bass and kick elements too and the mix will feel more balanced and rich...

Oh and put a low level filter on your bass with cut at 40hz and then one on your master at about 36hz... hope that helps! :cool:

changed a few bits on little fellas advice, mainly used the scratchy sound alot less as it was filling most of the spectrum. cut a whole in the main distorted loop to let some of the hats etc through, and re eq ed the bottom end.

think i have heard this a few too many times now, might take a break from it for a week or so and come back to it.
