I played some of his Axis stuff last night, haven't played any Purpose Maker in ages though.

Purpose maker is great music. One of the best techno labels I reckon. I still have a listen from time to time, don't really 'return' (to the source*) to that much techno but this is a label I just love the sound of. Most of it is nicely organic, something which is pretty much missing from a lot of techno these days.

*RETURN TO THE SOURCE \m/ on an 'older techno' tip, how GOOD were P.W.O.G - big ol' shuddering **** off zen techno :-)

What did you think of Blue potential?

I can see it's controversy but the first tune (The March) tells an amazing story, quite genius if you ask me. Not sure about the rest of the album though, didn't quite get it tbh...

he has just started to add purpose maker tracks to be beatport - who would have thought it! he's putting a bunch of previously unreleased tracks and mixes up there too:

a few of the tracks still sound great; some others, not so much...

Automatic is the ultimate purpose maker cut. the energy just bursts out of the speaker. that and Cubango... both first rate rollers
