who wins?
i think it goes the distance, with the better fighter (pacquiao) winning on points. do think hatton's got a chance in this one, just not as good...

That guy's tenacious to say the least.

i voted pacs on points
hope hatton can do it, but it's a big ask

the fight is may 1.
i think hatton has one chance...he's a bit more comfortable at this weight, and a bit stronger, so he needs to bull in and not relent. if he can do that--and not make any stupid mistakes--he's got a chance.
but i've heard that mayweather sr.'s been coaching him to be more defensive, and i don't think that strategy would pay dividends. manny's way too fast and technical.

Thought pacman would win a while ago, but now not so sure.
one or the other will get stopped.
50/50 for me

i'd put it at 75/25 for pacquiao. i think hatton definitely has a chance, but given pacquiao's massive advantage in technique and speed, hatton's unlikely to win on points. so he needs a KO. he definitely has a shot at that, but i think more likely he fails to do so. think pacquiao also fails to get the KO, but wins on points.

come on ricky! he as a chance but tbh i cant see it happening. reckon pacman will stop him in the late rounds......can see hatton getting cut to ribbons as the fight progresses.

like i said, not a huge boxing fan, so i dont know much about paquio, but..
listening on radio and apparently even the civil war in the phillipeens comes to a stand-still during one of paquio's fight, in the west ''We have no idea how big this phillipnio is!!''

What a hammering that were!
His defence was no being used early on and paid the price badly!

i did say, boxing prob only sport i know what im talking about with.
the guy looks brain damaged, only takes a few solid punches to knock someone out like that. he's finished.

Shame his tenacity is admirable, but Pac is an animal.

that was one hell of a beatdown
hatton was absolutely obliterated, and he's a very good fighter. but think it's abundantly clear at this point that manny is special...
djfase

Without doubt special. Didnt expect it to be that easy, or for him to know hatton so early.
It was a real going over of epic proportions and i think pacman will destroy mayweather aswell. The guys getting better and better

What a fcking fighter!!!
I cant see Mayweather coming anywhere near to beating the Pac man...
SlavikSvensk
03-05-2009, 11:40 PM
i hope so. mayweather was a hell of a fighter when he retired, but i wonder if he can get back to that form, whereas pac-man is stomping fools at the moment.
maybe mayweather wins if this was 2007, but i think pac-man takes him in 2010.

what a nightmare for hatton, he didn't appear to have any kind of strategy, just walked forward taking hits like the mayweather fight only worse
mayweather vs pacquiao will be a better match up
Going from what the Pacman's trainer, Roach said, he'd figured him out, made it sound like a lot of it was down to him!
It would have been interesting to see how it would have panned out if they'd done no preparation, just let the boxers try and figure each other out for themselves.
SlavikSvensk

keep in mind that roach has a serious beef with mayweather sr. (hatton's trainer) and is in negotiations to replace mayweather sr. as hatton's trainer for his next fight, so he has an interest in puffing up his own role in the fight.

You have to feel sorry for Ricky Hatton..
Last time i heard someone got battered that badly around the ring they were found in Michael Barrymores pool!
SlavikSvensk
05-05-2009, 06:20 PM
he was clearly outclassed, both as a fighter and tactician. but he's still better than most other boxers in his weight class, so i think he won't retire just yet.

roach and mayweather sr cant stand each other..true, but were have you heard hes in negotiations to be hattons trainer for next fight?? hattons said he doesnt even know about fighting again( though he will do) and roach reckons hatton should retire.

How big did the pacman look tho?
He looked massive compared to how hes been before, and he only jumped up a weight.
Pure class, and hatton was made to look an idiot with no ideas

i think mayweather dropped a bollock training hatton to fight authordox, when pacmans a southpaw.....mind boggling!
but yeah, no defence whatsoever.....2 million squid wasted on mayweathers training.
