This Friday, November 20th, Surge is very proud to present the return of Spanish techno king Oscar Mulero to Irish shores. This is part of a massive Tresor world tour promoting his new Tresor mix cd, filled with many classics and rarities carefully selected from the legendary label’s vaults. This event will be held in The Good Bits (formerly Radio City) which recently played host to the DEAF closing party. On the night we will have full Funktion One sound to intensify Oscar's bass heavy style, which will no doubt also get a thorough workout from Sunil Sharpe, who plays the middle slot on the night. Opening up is the ever popular Spanish (but Dublin based) DJ Danny Alonso. This is a night that will be cramped with unforgettable techno that should not be missed.

Oscar Mulero
Oscar Mulero is today counted among the world's most respected and talented techno DJs. The Spanish dj/producer entered the fray at Tresor at the turn of the century as a guest in Tresor Club Berlin and entered into the label's universe via his excellent remix of Pacou's track Diagonal on his "Last Man Standing" EP in 2004 (Tresor.209). It was clear that the powerhouse genius of this electronic music artist would continue to collaborate with Tresor, and in 2007 he released the sublime EP "Only Dead Fish Go With The Flow" (Tresor.230): rugged techno with sequencing wizardry that was an instant best-seller.
Now Mulero delivers an extraordinary mix of Tresor classics, many long out-of-print and some never released on CD or digital formats. 30 Tracks incl. Jeff Mills ("Flood", "Robot Replica", "Late Night"; X-101 ("Sonic Destroyer"); X-103 ("10,000 Chariots") ; Drexciya ("Dr. Blowfin’s Black Storm", "Under Sea Disturbances"); Surgeon ("Box", "At The Heart Of It all"); Pacou ("The Guards", "Flex"); Model 500 ("Light Speed"); James Ruskin ("Lahaine" OVR Mix); Maurizio ("M4") and many more. These are mainly taken from Tresor vinyl releases, including 3 rare tracks newly remastered. The Spanish techno commandant is welcome in the Tresor library, and he's turned out a masterful mix of quintessential Tresor tracks that any fan of both Oscar Mulero and Tresor will be proud to own.
Sunil Sharpe
Sunil Sharpe is one of Ireland’s most celebrated underground DJs. Having played at many of Europe’s most dedicated techno clubs like Tresor (Berlin), U-Club (Bratislava), Locked (Manchester) and others, as well as on every scale of the circuit in Ireland, Sunil has also recorded for Open Source, Tonewrecker, Bastardo Electrico and his own Mantrap stamp – a label that has gained quick popularity with many of electro and techno’s big hitters. Sunil also resides on 2FM, teaches budding DJs at BIFE and continues his mission on the frontline at Spindizzy Records. This year he was also co-ordinator of club events at DEAF, in the sadly last but arguably
best year of the festival.
