Electric City
02-02-2004, 11:23 AM
Monday March 15th @ Metropolitan, Dublin.
The Hacker [GoodLife / Gigolo - Grenoble]
Simon Conway [electricity]
John Kavanagh [Faux Nation]
Admission: 10 euro
Doors: 11 - 3
It's the night of Kraftwerk, the gig has finished - who better than to keep
the electro vibe alive other than Monsieur Le Hacker. He's one of our
favourite DJ's and this will be his third time back to play - he's a massive
fan of Irish crowds and is coming over for a special party on the night of
Kraftwerk. He'll be making a tour from France to rock the Metropolitan ready
to kick off Paddy's week in style. Anyone who has caught his previous sets
here knows that he is one of the slickest electro and techno DJ's around.
His set is sure to encompass everything from the Italo-Disco of Alexander
Robotnick to the Synth Pop of Depeche Mode all the way through to the
high-octane sounds of Vitalic [not to mention a Kraktwerk record or two
along the way]. With a string of killer releases on Turbo, Dancefloor
Killers & GoodLife having come to surface in 2003 the Hacker is sure to make
this a night to remember.
This will be the perfect way to finish off the evening's entertainment
following Ze Germans. And sure, you never know who'll show up.....
Opening up proceedings on the night [because he can't get a ticket for
Kraftwerk!] will be John Kavanagh. John is one of Dublin's best electro DJ's
and has played the club several times over the past year. He was the man
with the plan behind the Faux Nation night in An Seo and has also played at
the likes of NeuroMantek & Bleep. Support on the night also comes from
electric city resident Simon Conway who'll be mixing it up in his head and
on the decks
Tickets are on sale from Selectah Records priced e10. We recommend getting
tickets for this event to avoid disappointment on the door.
It's an Electric Party!
