Crikey Rita, trying to tax info out of people who've been collecting vinyl for years ;)

Have you tried last.fm, last time I put a few artists into it, it cross referenced other ones quite well. Other than that it's worth using discogs and finding out what labels those people are signed to, and what other artists are on those labels, if you come to a dead end, put that label name/artist into google and you're sure to find a 'sounds like' entry. Also it's probably worth downloading some mixes with a tune you already know in the tracklisting, that brings up all sorts of related stuff. There's definitely a few corker mixes I've found here, although some tend to use all their own sequences/loops (like I do), so definitely search via mixes with a tracklisting otherwise you'll be trying to find that track 15 minutes in when that was the only time it ever existed, well, certainly in my live sets :S
