I think it was way OTT to sack him, but it's going to be interesting to see who they get in to replace him. A younger, more lively presenter, who Sky maybe wanted anyway, and they can now use this sexism thing as a reason to get rid of the older Andy Gray, and make way for a new, younger, more attractive etc presenter?

An on-air apology would have been sufficient, so there has to be more to it.
