I'm trying to get a similar sound to the main synth in Badger Bite (YouTube - Badger Bite - Surgeon.wmv (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxX2Oa8DtEc)) . I know there's very little too it but I just can't recreate the piercing impact or harshness of the original. There's only three notes and a fairly simple ADSR amp envelope with a very short attack but other than that I'm stumped. Anybody have any ideas?

besides the standard processing, eq, saturation etc, sounds like some pitch shifting going on there. sampling and shifting up, or using a separate shifter.

the Psychdelay on fm8 would do something similar i think

Nice one Rory, reckon I'll go the sampling route, was messing about with Psychdelay and I couldn't get it way I was looking for. I'm sort of narrowing in on the synth parameters too. Threw a saw tooth and a square wave (with the osc for that tuned one up note) in with a LP filter going to the filter envelope that has a sharp attack, short decay and lond sustain and release. It's still not right but it's getting there.
