I have been using Sony Acid Pro 7.0 for awhile now, and really like it. I have been considering whether to change over to Abelton Live 8.1.1 that I have?

But I just find I can do things so much quicker in Acid Pro, for example I love the way you can press the up and down arrows to zoom into a wave file.

Although Ableton comes with more effects, you can use vst's to overcome this.

But the biggest difference for me is sound quality, when I'm working with many tracks, the different tracks seem to sound better together with Acid and seem to sound like they are clashing when I use Ableton.

What am I missing out on using Acid over Ableton?

ps. I would really like to try Pro Tools 9 or Reaper, but would would like to know which is similar in layout and functions to Acid?
