March 4th
Steve Rachmad (Sterac) [Music Man / Interpersonal Experience - Amsterdam]
John Fallon [Electric City]
Giles Armstrong [electricity]
Admission e10
This week we welcome back one of our all time favourite
producers & DJ's Steve Rachmad. When Steve last played Electric City in July
2003 he decided to take us on a tour of his record collection by playing
everything from Nik Kershaw to Joe Jackson to electro tracks from Anthony
Rother and The Advent, much to the crowd's delight. For this party Steve
will be playing a set of dark techno with the odd bit of killer electro
thrown in.
The last few years are marked by numerous successful releases on labels such
as 100% Pure, Underwater, Fragile, M-Plant, Tresor, etc. He also done a
significant number of remixes & tracks under various pseudonyms like
Ignacio, Parallel 9, Adverse Match and most recently as Dreg for Chris
Liebings CLR label.
Among Steve's most respected releases is certainly his album "Secret Life of
Machines" under his Sterac alias. The last time he was over he signed EC
resident Giles Armstrong's copy (so watch our for it soon on E-bay !).
Unfortunately, nowadays his busy DJ schedule puts a limit on the time he
would like to spend in his studio. This hectic schedule has seen Steve share
his DJ talent with crowds all over Europe, parts of North America and Japan
within the last 12 months.
Steve also runs two labels of his own, Scorp and the electro label
Interpersonal Experience both of which are hugely successful with techno and
electro followers the world over. Recently he delivered another classic
piece of electronic music in the shape of his latest release for Belgian
label Music Man 'Keep On Running.

Playing before Steve is Electric City regular John Fallon, who's style of
deep techno will provide the perfect complement to Steve's set while Giles
Armstrong will start the night with some chilled electro.
