Diarmaid O Meara drops his latest mashup of dark, driving and trippy Techno originals, remix's and collaborations onto one of the scenes now cornerstone labels, Gobsmacked records. The 16 track collection mix takes the most fitting and forward thinking tracks from the Irishmans current arsenal of heavily showcased music, and introduces work with some of his favorite artists over the previous twenty four months. While never easy to pigeonhole Diarmaids music style, Indecent Welfare throws noise at you ranging from dark modern techno, intense hard minimal, breakbeat electro, and even touching on slower modern hardcore genres at times, all seamlessly pieced together in a 66 minute album mix. Obvious influence shines through from his relocation to one of the hearts of central Europe and global electronic music, Berlin... but also from the numerous collaborations the album makes use of. Works with A.Paul, Space Djz, Niereich, GO!DIVA, 3PhazeGenerator, Jeff F, Hystericmaniak, Myler and Orion dominate sections of the 16 track collection and allow for different musical mindsets to infiltrate the album.

Firmly planting himself in a front seat in the international Techno scene, be it through critically successful and supported tracks, complicated and intense three turntable performances, or his far reaching Gobsmacked brand and label... the Irish three deck techno peddler, Diarmaid O Meara, is a name that has quite rightly been etched into the minds of a sizeable and ever growing chunk of Europe’s even more sizeable and ever growing Techno cult.
After an intensive and successful number of years of acclaimed releases and remix’s across numerous top labels, collaborations with numerous artists, and being named at the beginning of 2009 as ‘One to Watch’ by M8 Mag UK... Diarmaid was branded as “One of Techno’s brightest new stars” in 2010 by Tilllate Magazine following features in a myriad of music publications including Notion, Tilllate, CORE, DJ Mag and I-DJ, Connected, and radio and music tv features about the release of his Structured Noise album. This alongside endless production work, collaborations, a hectic gigging schedule, and a uniquely intense, energetic, and entertaining style of three turntable techno mash up sets, has placed Diarmaid up there with his peers as one of the best in his field to emerge in recent years.
Since his first vinyl release in 2007, Diarmaid’s style has been grabbing massive attention with releases across dozens of labels, an endless remix list, and regular track support from countless giants of electronic music, including releasing Dave Clarkes number one track of 2010, Selfish Bass. His almost constant airplay across UK and European radio stations includes regular features on BBC Radio 1, White Noise, ATL Dance Show, Absolute Technoise, RTE Radio, KISS FM, NRJ Radio, DI – FM and XFM UK. Guest mixes and exclusive broadcasted sessions for dozens of high profile series include Dave Clarke’s White Noise, Clash Music Magazine’s Series, Dr Hoffmanns Blindspot, Mastertraxx Podcast, BBC ATL etc. Not to mention the fact that he brings his intense mixing style to clubs and radios across Europe, where regular live dates have included a blast of European cities with regular appearances in his current stomping ground of Berlin. This comes alongside his Gobsmacked labels Wired Up Sessions Podcast Series, which has been pushing the sounds of artists big and small since mid 2010 through several global radio/digital stations.
As one of the UK and Irelands busier techno producers and releasers, his collaborations and remixes to date include hero’s like A.Paul, Robert Armani, Mike Humphries, Space DJz, Patrick DSP, Vegim, Niereich, Go!Diva, Luke Creed etc., on labels including Gobsmacked, Potential, Mastertraxx, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Naked Lunch etc. His 2010 album “Structured Noise” was nominated for Best Album 2010 and his label Gobsmacked for Best Label multiple times in the Irish dance Music Awards. Constantly following on these successes with a broad spectrum of projects constantly on the horizon, numerous and continuous upcoming releases across some of the genre’s finest labels, not to mention his own Gobsmacked label, which is close to celebrating its 100th release… Diarmaid’s name will keep appearing regularly in the statutes techno as he pushes the boundaries of noise and ingenuity in the production, performance, and promotion of electronic music.
