A musical ambassador since he was in short trousers, a professional DJ since his early teens, a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno – you name it, Carl's been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes, spreading love and celebrating life. Carl will be playing alongside some especially chosen artists, details to be announced. All proceeds are going directly to Mencap.

A monumental year for Paul van Dyk continues on Saturday 13th October, as he revisits Electric Brixton for his final London date of 2012. Having launched his 'Evolution' album at the same venue earlier this year, another capacity crowd will be in attendance when Paul returns to SW2 as part of the Evolution World Tour.

ABSOLUT Blank Live, devised in collaboration with Saam Farahmand, has been touring the UK with a unique consumer experience; a soundproofed booth into which respondents enter, choose their favourite track and move to the music to create unique digital trails in real-time, as if their bodies are brushes and the background is a blank canvas. The booth uses breakthrough technology to create a piece of individual, digital artwork in real-time.

The troubled son of a hairdresser and a "teacher who lived many lives" (semi-pro football, massage therapy, film maker and other things we'll tell you about when you're older), George was born in the Dominican Republic and spent his formative years in Florida. Not in a happening spot like Miami, though. Try an island that happened to be the winter home base of the Ringling Brothers' Circus and palm tree-flanked old people.

The news comes as Lucy Rose's new single 'Bikes' (out Sunday 16th September) racks up the plays across radio, and the spectacular, hell-raising video nears half a million plays on YouTube just a week after it was published.
