I like the idea.
Compress the bass or is it the kick resonating like that.
Turn up the percussive rhythm I hear and add a maraca or another series of hats.
Tribal isn't easy!

yeah needs more compression on the low end.. would be sick with that beat and then drop into another pattern with some harder hitting really low pitched toms or bass.. could use some sampled hats or really high pitched snares as summer of sam mentioned. great beat though!
thanks guys, no fx or processing as yet, eq needs sorting too. i will start getting it together over the next few days.
thanks again. ;)

Yeah, I like the harmonic tone of it. Lovely.
The bass needs beefing up, and some more solid mid range percussion to fill the frequencies up.
But I like the potential of this, clanking and tribal, right up my street.
When done, if you want a remix, give me first go ey?

please correct if i'm wrong but:
four beats to a bar/four count = 1, 2, 3, 4.
four beats to a bar/eight count = 1, and, 2, and, 3, and, 4, and.
four beats to a bar/12 count = 1, and, a, 2, and, a, 3, and, a, 4, and, a
four beats to a bar/16 count = 1, e, and, a, 2, e, and, a, 3, e, and ,a, 4, e, and, a
its been a long time since i properly counted/read music...so this may be all kindsa wrong!
