QuadraFuzz Nightmares

Ive been using the Quadrafuzz VST plug loads recently and its almost turned into a (ad) habit. Its knocks down the sound quality of anything I put through it and the final track sounds messed up.

Anyone know a good alternative for this that may apply the same effect? Or any other techniques to get that multi-filtered/distored sound?

amplitube I think might do a similar job!

The prob I recon is using it in way 2 many sounds on the same track .... if u do that it doesn't matter how good & clean yer fuzzer is the final sound will always sound a bit mashed!
