Guy really needs a new dynamic, direction and a phatter analogue sound to RAW. Except a few like #9/rm2 and #20 I don't think that this label is anywhere near what he is capable of.
r3 has been out a couple of weeks now and and definately doesn't make me smile.

People get bored with monotiny
I wouldnt assume it's him that isnt trying to innovate maybe its what the consumer wants at the mo.

i cant see its what the consumer wants tho as all his tunes that the hardhouse massive play are remixes of his tunes andthe techno crowd rarely touch his techno as there much more (for want a better word) intelegent loops out there.
some of his stuff under his alias was more creative (if a little formulaic still) but as guy mcaffer his juts produced track after track of predictable filtered drum loops and chopped up vocals
his co-produced with enuf creative artists (liberator and sterling moss to name just 2) on his raw series to create individual tracks but even they havnt been able to break the mould much
its such a shame as i really like his stuff in consept, i just think theres a whole universe of more interesting stuff out there

Nothing wrong with being anal but please try to have the artist in mind when posting, you never know who lurks around here, and they will call you on it.

the top shelf release shows he's maybe starting to try new things again, which in my opinion is a good thing.
Who knows the reason why raw has got so formulaic but it has, the release are still good as guy always creates a real energy in his tunes, but there not records i play over and over like raw 7, 9 e.t.c

point taken, but surely the only way to imporve is to be told where your slipping
i always tell people to be blunt when i write tunes or distribute mix cds. its the only way i would have progressed as far as i have in such a short amout of time (w/o taking a class ;) )
