recording cds

downloading mixes from hardsignal website! how do i break up the mixes into tracks when i download them. the timo hummell mix is savage to say the least!also how do u convert mp3 to winzip or the other way round im not 100%!the files are too fcukin big so basically how do i compress them?????

okay. MP3 is a compressed format like Zip, but slightly different. If it came as a zip file - unzip the MP3 from it. Then when you play the mp3 in winamp or realplayer etc. it tells you how long your it is - this is the only thing that really matters (along with bitrate=quality). Basically your burning software (I use Nero) will convert MP3 to CD audio automatically so long as the mp3 is not longer than the length of your CD - 74 or 80 mins. If you need cut up an MP3 I recommend you use Soundforge.
