Have you heard the 1st release? I really want to know what its like. Im hoping its not going to be 'RAW sounding'. I really want Guy to try and do something new. He's really not on form at the moment, well I dont think he is.

top shelf was described to me as punx rock techno,,,its full off guitar loops, messed up vox and the usual madness
The first release sounds a little bit acid techno but the second is more sort of driving......

Unfortunately, it`s still the Mccaffer Midi template that he loves, with a few interesting guitar sounds thrown in. Nothing new really.

Ah, that's a shame. Actually I wish Karl Hendrickse would release more stuff... out of Audio Pancake he's definitely the better half IMO. Every time I've seen his live sets they've been superb.

I'll agree with that! Has Karl Hendrickse released many tracks that hes done himself? Or is it more the double act of Audio Pancake? :eh:

Karl is a force unto himself when he plays live on his own. Outstanding.

The only one I know of is RAW 008. I think RAW 017 is him as well.

I might be wrong, but I think those two RAW's were with Guy. Has Karl done anything alone?

The a-side of RAW 8 was Karl on his own. One of my favourite RAWs as well!

Yea, I just spotted that on Discogs, but you beat me to the post! I'm surprised he's not done anything else on his own...

I spoke to him very briefly at a party last year and he said he was going to put some stuff out at some point... but that was over six months ago *shrug*

Had more of a chance to listen to a sneaky top-secret preview and here's my view. (cheers man. word up!)

A - Solid punk with a highly produced techno bass kick. Very much follows the flow and feel of 80s SanFran punk tunes. Dark techno vocal rather than a manic verse chorus verse chorus to close. The space and warm is wonderful. Definately one for the over 30s.

AA - Quicky and very very stompy bass-kicker with a luvly driving geetar stab. More of a London squat feel than the A. Real rolling builder with excellent combination of synths and clean sparce radio-style vocals.

AAA - if you put a mad 1960s computer in a submarine and took acid you'd have a pretty good feel for this track. Stunning.

Still wanna see what the pictures on label's gonna be this time ;)

Definetly like the first release after hearing the samples

Anyone know who he produced it with? As it says Dick Capitate and The Beheaded.

A good idea for a new label, as all the guitar stabs in tunes he's done in the past, like in one punk floyd tune and funky old cortina, have really added to the funk of his beats.

Will look forward to hearing the future releases
