advice needed plz

i suspect my needles are goosed as alot of the records ive been buyin recently keep jumping even though i cant find any sratches on them so id like a bit of advice plz as im lookin in2 buying sum new needles/carts.ive heard ortofon are the best but arent they very pricey?? ive only got crappy gemini decks so theres not much point spendin 100 quid on sum good needles plus im a bit skint at the mo.also are the any that are designed 4 techno?? any help would be greatfull appriceated.cheers ppl ;)

I think the shure m44-7 are a wicked cartridge,
they're loud,
they dont skip,
& they're not 2 expensive (about 70 quid a pair, but shop around and you will probably find them for less)
