Now don't get all technical because I haven't a clue about PCs.
What I am trying to do is when I create a mix cd via the decks onto the PC (I am using Sound recorder software to record it) am I able to number the individual tracks so when you put it in the hifi it sayd track 1 track 2 and so on and not just the length of the total mix. If not with this software then what software has this option?
Cheers

1. Get soundforge
2. Record Mix
3. Split entire track into separate tracks and save each one individually e.g. track 1, track 2, etc etc
4. Now burn these onto a CD

OR
record mix as one long file
get CDWave http://www.cdwave.com
load mix into CDWave - follow CDWave instructions to make cue file
burn mix using cue file (nero, file-->burn image?)

Ive told someone on this board before about this method, lol, sure it was you.
make sure you set "disk at once" on your burning software.
records the cd without the 2 sec gaps inbetween tracks.

think ill have to check chazblokes method though if its easier.

I do it in Nero to, its got a pretty crappy wave editor. but it does the job for splitting tracks. When you use it though make sure on the track properties you have selected a 0 second gap between the tracks.
