i'm using Kontact to play a sample, using the Time Machine II setting to mess about with tune/speed etc...
I also found the legato button which when on, keeps the sample playing when you change the note but does change the pitch..
i can do this live, but i cant see how i would "join" the notes up in the midi editor window..
any suggestions?
cheers!
Chaz.

choose a snap/ quantize value of the duration of the note u need. or just select all the notes, right click and then choose funtions, now at the top of the list u can find legato!

hmm.. no good m8 :( thx for the tip on the functions thing, never seen that before  looks useful. :)
heres a sample of what i want to acheive: http://www.missionparty.com/boa/legato.mp3
(original played off one key |||| sample played how i want, which is 3 beats high, then 4th beat low |||| what i'm getting outta cubase, which is 3 beats and then start from beginning of sample on 4th rather then carry on playing sample)
and heres a pic of the midi layout: http://www.missionparty.com/boa/legato.jpg
if i select all notes and then right-click, functions, legato - it just extends the very last note to the length of the midi section...
hmm... :eh:

humm 2 tell ya the truth I'm not really getting what i need?
Maybe u can load another channel and do another sequence for that 2 play this way u can have both playing ... or u can have a sample bank in different key ranges/ regions with different settings if u use the group muting function u should b able 2 mute one sample when the other plays or somethin!
If none of this works please try 2 explain again what u need sorry
