I have in my grubby mits a copy of squat 5
Well, the A side is havin it, as is expected, although it`s a little more bouncy than previous releases, and not quite as hardcore.
The B-Side features 2 very odd, tribal tunes, veering towards quirky tribal tech-house. Very unexpected,
This time I believe Jeff made both B side tracks himself and Dave P only was producer on the A side.
All in all, a good release and a slight shift of style for Jeff, keeping the label quite fresh.

Can't say how I ogt it but I got it! and it so rocks - made my week actually. Happy chappy!
Love the "play at 33 or 45" on the label outro. Side A and B2 are killers and B1 is great with the tempo whacked up a bit :)
^^^
with the tempo up!!! i havent heard this yet, but this label has been on the hih end of bpm's for me - is this a touch slower? :eh:
Yes the two on the B-side are slower than previous Squat's... but the A-side is top bangin action

Shame about that bit at the end though wasn't it Meri...
Yeah, it's got some wierd stop/starts near the end... don't know why producers do this on the mix-out... forces you to either mix out before, or plan a record that you know mixes easily. Still, it's a wicked record so I'm happy.

weird start/stops?
what do you meen by that?
The beats stop (as in a short breakdown), then the drums return when you don't expect them. Some people think this is innovation. I just find it annoying when it's done towards the end of a track.
