Yeah I like this. I'm not sure that the reverse drum that come in at the end of every 4 bars should be there as often, perhaps using them a little bit more sparingly would make them more effective. I like the general atmosphere of the track though, the dubby chords are really nice, carries the track well.. I feel there could be one more sound or lead line waiting to get out in the track somewhere? Maybe being introduced from about the 4 minute mark on?

Sunil, I think you're right. The reverse may be used a bit too often. Maybe if it were lower in the mix, it would blend in with the percussion a bit more.
I also have the feeling that it needs another hook line, but have been struggling to decide what to use.....
Thanks for your comments.

No probs. Yeah maybe if it were a bit lower in the mix alright, but there's no doubting that it does add to the funkiness of the track. It may not even need a major extra hookline, perhaps varying the pattern of the one that's in there a bit more would do the trick or even higher the level of it a bit as the track progresses, either/or would work I guess. Again I think the 4 min mark where it kicks back in is a crucial point in giving the track an extra lift.

i agree about the reverse kick, really like the hats and percussion pattern, really funky, i agree with you though, it does need another hook, maybe a little short synth riff or something

Bryan mate, I really dig ths
PM me mate, I like your stuff and would like to hear more.
You really got tha groove!!!
I love the wobbly sub stuff going on, this is very slick, this would really rumble on some 24 inch sub drivers
I like the reverses, it makes the beat slip and slide about nicely.
All this needs is an extra hook or lead line, maybe some kinda electro lead over the top, playing a quirky riff ala Orange Mistake by Luciano and Quenum?

Yeah this shits coo... got the groove... I like the stripped back feel... a hook or lead might detract from that.... maybe just develop the atmospheric sounds a bit more to really carry it all along....?
Just thought I'd say congrats on your track that was released too Brian.. just saw it last week I think (can't remember what it was though now... woops)

Brian's remix was released on Traction. Pretty good stuff!
I also was telling Bryan this track needs another hook. Good stuff indeed. :)

this is very good. i don't find the reverses at all intrusive. they just flow to me. also, it seems fine without any additional lead...really groovy. would be loving this out on a quality pa

I do think it needs something, but I have a bad habit of just "throwing something in" and calling it done. This may take a while to find the right hook, that doesn't change the groove of the track.
This track stemmed from another track I wrote a few weeks ago. I was working on a submission for Woody's Acid House Project.... I guess I can't make acid house, but liked the sound anyway..
