Well, I'm not really a fan of Varela's music or what he plays...but everyone says he is an amazing DJ. He's always playing on 3, sometimes 4 decks. If you're one of those DJ stylist gurus he's probably definetely worth checking out.

there is a varela on 4 decks doing the rounds on the internet. ive got a copy on cd. it aint too bad. hes obviously technically gifted, musically, dont expect any groundbreaking . i reckon hes worth checking out though.

was ther myself that nite. Great stuff, cudnt believe some of the things he was doing, again not my bag musically but go and see him for the mixing alone. the last hour him and cox went b2b on 4 decks and when varella hadnt got the headphones he was still throwing tunes in and keeping them on time with his hands..unbeleivable cueing skills!! must admit tho when he did pick it up he did manage to pull out a few quality tracks..def reccomend seeing him.

Yeah I Saw Varella at Coxy's Global closing party in Ibiza and i must say that he was out of hand..... He's superb on 3 decks and it was even better to see him playing B2B with Coxy for the last Hour.... Sweet!!

Big thumbs up in my opinion..

I like Varela.

He have been here in São Paulo some years ago and played 4hours with 4 decks at A Loca club. They recorded the set. I guess some friends still have this set.

I like to listen a set from him, but I preffer to spin Hard Techno.

I have a nice movie, 30 minutes. With a 3 decks set. IF anyone wanna can ask me my icq : 6411908 or msn: teamtrb@hotmail.com

Cheers

I heard him once on Awakening techno party in Rotterdam, where he was playing on 4 decks, mixing skills were fast and good, but then again the records he played didnt interest me that much.

Even though I haven't seen him live, I heard he's etiher brilliant or total crap and I must admit, I've heard mixes from him that were both... As for his 4 deck sets - I don't see how that could be inspiring or enjoyable, 'cos it's only loops and there's only so much you can do with loops... It gets boring really fast.
